Pakistan delivered an impressive performance at the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship, winning the world team title for the seventh time and further strengthening its position in international youth Scrabble.
Pakistani players won the highest number of trophies at the championship, with Ahmad Salman becoming the Under-16 world champion and Ahed Sault Fatimi securing the Under-14 world title.
Pakistan’s Taimur Waseem also claimed the Under-10 world championship, while Mustafa Farhan finished as runner-up in the Under-12 category.
Three Pakistani players also secured places in the top 10 of the individual competitions.
Pakistani player Ayan Hassan Khan earned the distinction of playing the highest-scoring word in the championship, while Azam Siddiqui recorded the highest score in a single match.
The outstanding performance by Pakistan’s young players brought further recognition to the country on the international stage and once again demonstrated Pakistan’s strong position in competitive Scrabble.
