The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced major relief for students and graduates by making its degree attestation system completely online and paperless.
Under the new e-attestation system, graduates can now apply for degree attestation online at any time without visiting HEC offices or carrying original certificates.
The HEC has shifted the entire degree attestation process to complete digital verification.
The decision, announced by Chairman HEC, is being described as a revolutionary change aimed at making the verification of educational documents easier for graduates.
According to the announcement, the degree attestation service will now be available online 24 hours a day. Candidates can submit their applications at any time through the digital system.
Original certificates no longer required
HEC has abolished the condition of carrying original certificates for degree verification. The paperless system is expected to make the attestation process faster, more transparent and more convenient for applicants.
Under the new arrangement, online verification of attested degrees will also be possible. The facility has been introduced to improve transparency and speed up the process of verifying educational documents.
System effective nationwide
The new e-attestation system has been implemented across Pakistan and became effective from May 11, 2026.
With this change, graduates across the country can complete the verification of their educational documents through a fully digital process.
