At least 16 people have been killed in an explosion at a firecracker factory in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
According to Indian media reports, the injured have been shifted to hospitals. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, and authorities have launched an investigation.
It is worth noting that last year, a similar explosion at a firecracker factory in Gujarat killed 18 people and injured several others. Reports said the blast caused the factory building to collapse, trapping several workers under the rubble.
