Chinese envoy meets Fazl for peace talks

Jiang Zaidong met Maulana Fazl ur Rehman in Islamabad to discuss regional peace and bilateral relations. The meeting took place at the residence of the JUI-F chief.Both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. Discussions focused on the regional security situation, law and order, and Pakistan-China relations. The talks also covered ongoing tensions involving Iran.Concerns were raised over the role of United States and Israel in the escalating situation. The participants stated that any attack on Iran would violate international law and its sovereignty.The leaders emphasized the need for peace and stability in the region. They agreed that conflicts should be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic means. According to them, failure to ensure a ceasefire could harm not only the Middle East but also the global economy.The discussion also included the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both sides highlighted its role in promoting regional stability and economic development.Jiang Zaidong noted that Pakistan-China friendship continues to grow stronger under all circumstances. He said both countries can work together to shape the future of the region through cooperation.Maulana Fazl ur Rehman reaffirmed his party’s commitment to strengthening ties with China. He stated that JUI-F has played a positive role in the past and will continue to support bilateral relations.He also stressed the importance of promoting friendly relations between China and its neighboring countries. Such cooperation, he said, is essential for long-term peace and development.At the end of the meeting, a luncheon was hosted in honor of the Chinese ambassador, reflecting the warmth of diplomatic relations.
