Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 80th Annual Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
PM Sharif conveyed his best wishes to the Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait and expressed satisfaction over the historic friendship between the two countries.
He thanked Kuwait for its generous support during Pakistan’s devastating floods and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, health, and manpower.
Highlighting the need for closer engagement, Shehbaz Sharif invited the Kuwaiti Crown Prince to visit Pakistan later this year. The invitation was received warmly, reflecting the mutual intent to further elevate bilateral ties.
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and particularly acknowledged its consistent support for the Palestinian cause.
Both leaders also held a wide-ranging discussion on Middle East developments, as well as regional and global affairs. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together at bilateral and multilateral forums.
