China plans to implement 100 “small and beautiful” livelihood projects in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday.
Xi made the remarks during a keynote speech at the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO in north China’s Tianjin.
He said China will provide 2 billion yuan (about $280.5 million) in grants to SCO member states within this year. He added that an additional 10 billion yuan (about $1.4 billion) in loans will be issued to the member banks of the SCO Interbank Consortium over the next three years.
