The historic Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur – one of the holiest Sikh religious sites – has been hit by devastating floods after India released millions of cusecs of water into rivers flowing towards Pakistan.According to local reports, floodwaters have surrounded the Gurdwara complex, submerging its boundary walls and nearby areas.Around 200 to 300 people have been stranded in Kartarpur due to the ongoing floods. The Pakistan Army, in coordination with the local administration, has launched rescue and relief operations to ensure their safety.Troops are actively engaged in evacuating the affected residents, providing assistance, and making efforts to relocate them to safer areas.The sight has caused deep concern among the Sikh community worldwide, as Kartarpur holds immense religious and cultural significance.
