Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday that the leaderships of both China and Pakistan expressed resolve to further bolster the ties between the two countries.
The Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson highlighted the robust ties between Pakistan and China, saying, “Pakistan and China are great friends and key partners. The Chinese foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan holds paramount importance.”
Moreover, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said: “During the Chinese foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan, global and regional matters would be underlined. The Pakistan’s premier had visited China in the last year.”
On the other side, a trilateral meeting between China, Afghanistan and Pakistan would be held sometime today.
Sources divulged that the meeting would review the security situation and economic cooperation. The Chinese foreign minister would reach Kabul following the conclusion of his visit to India.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar would also leave for Kabul from the federal capital city. Dar would be flanked by SAPM Mohammed Sadiq and other concerned officials.
Apart from a trilateral meeting, a bilateral meeting between the Pakistani foreign minister and Afghanistani counterpart is scheduled to take place.
