Islamabad Police conducted a late-night raid at multiple hostels of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU), resulting in the arrest of over 50 students, according to sources on Tuesday.
The operation, carried out reportedly on the request of the university administration, targeted hostels 6, 8, 9, and 11 — all of which were completely evacuated during the police action.
Sources said approximately 55 to 60 students were detained and later shifted to the Secretariat Police Station. The police operation was reportedly called off after the targeted students were taken into custody.
