Microsoft has outlined its vision for a future where artificial intelligence (AI) agents from different companies can work together seamlessly, sharing information and retaining memories of past interactions to improve user experiences. Speaking ahead of the company’s annual Build conference in Seattle scheduled for May 19, Microsoft’s Chief Technology Officer Kevin Scott highlighted efforts to promote industry-wide standards enabling interoperability among AI agents — software systems designed to autonomously perform specific tasks, such as troubleshooting software bugs. Scott revealed that Microsoft is supporting the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open-source initiative introduced by Anthropic, a Google-backed AI research firm. MCP…
Popular Pakistani music has been abruptly removed from the popular streaming platform Spotify in India, sparking concern and disappointment among music lovers. Hits like “Maand,” “Jhol,” and “Faasle,” along with numerous other tracks, disappeared from the platform on Wednesday night, leaving a void for listeners across the border. This move comes in the wake of an advisory issued by the Indian government on May 8, directing all Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms, media streaming services, and digital intermediaries to immediately cease the streaming of content originating from Pakistan, NDTV reported. “OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India are advised to discontinue…

Responding to questions about criticisms he receives from both Indian and Pakistani audiences, Akhtar stated: “People from both sides abuse me. One side calls me an infidel and warns me of…

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly informed the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) of its decision to withdraw from the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, as bilateral and regional cricketing ties with Pakistan continue to deteriorate. According to Indian media reports, the decision comes in the wake of renewed hostilities between India and Pakistan along the border, which have cast a shadow over any prospects of sporting collaboration between the two arch-rivals. The political climate, coupled with the ACC currently being chaired by Pakistan’s Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, has reportedly prompted…

A report by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) has revealed that nearly two-thirds of Pakistan’s political parties lack a functional web presence, despite increasing digital engagement and mandatory legal requirements. The report, Assessing Web Presence of Political Parties in Pakistan, found that only 58 out of 166 registered political parties — roughly 35 per cent — maintain fully or partially operational websites. Even among the 20 political parties currently represented in the National Assembly and/or provincial legislatures, just 14 (70pc) had websites that were at least partially functional. This digital shortfall comes in contrast to provisions under Section 208(4)…
