Google is taking its Search experience to the next level by adding new “agentic” features to its AI Mode, enabling users to book event tickets and beauty appointments directly through conversational queries.
Google announced on Tuesday that AI Mode — its generative feature built into Search — now supports booking event tickets and beauty or wellness appointments. This upgrade allows users to make real-world arrangements using natural language prompts, without switching apps or websites.
For instance, users can type or say, “Find me two cheap tickets for the Shaboozey concert coming up. Prefer standing floor tickets.” AI Mode will then search across multiple ticketing platforms to find real-time options matching the request, displaying a curated list of prices and direct booking links.

These enhanced features are currently available to users enrolled in Search Labs, Google’s experimental testing platform, within the United States. Premium users — specifically those with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions — will benefit from higher usage limits and faster processing capabilities.
Expanding beyond restaurant reservations
The rollout marks the second phase of Google’s agentic feature expansion. In August, AI Mode introduced the ability to make restaurant reservations, where users could request bookings by specifying party size, date, time, cuisine, and location.
For example, a user could ask, “Find me a dinner reservation for three people this Friday after 6 p.m. around Logan Square. Craving ramen or bibimbap.” AI Mode would then search multiple reservation platforms to display restaurants with available tables matching those preferences.
Focus on reliability and safety
In a statement posted on its Search Labs page, Google emphasized that its top priority remains delivering “high-quality information you can rely on.” The company noted that while the new features are promising, AI Mode remains in an early testing stage and “may make mistakes.”
This focus on safety and accuracy aligns with Google’s broader AI strategy — ensuring transparency and user trust while competing with platforms like Perplexity AI and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Search.
Since its debut in March 2024, AI Mode has expanded to more than 180 countries, steadily gaining new functions. Recent updates include a Canvas feature that helps users build study plans and organize research over multiple sessions, as well as Google Lens integration, allowing users to ask questions about whatever appears on their screen.
These additions reflect Google’s ongoing effort to make Search more interactive, contextual, and personalized — evolving from a query tool into a proactive digital assistant.
